Hello again, this is the sister.
First things first, tomorrow, August 11th, it CysticGal's 30th birthday. She's still in the hospital, and we don't know when she will be able to go home.
Today the doctors came by and said that they wanted to do another thoracotomy and attempt again to block off this lymphatic duct. They feel that it didn't completely work on Sunday. They want to do the surgery tomorrow.
Please pray for CysticGal. Please also pray that the medical staff caring for her can get this right.

ReplyDeleteI am reading so much news! WOW you had a lung transplant. I pray it is the key to many amazing new breaths for you. I am proud of you for going through all you are going through and send lots of support to your family. My parents didn't have CF, but both had illnesses for which I had to sit many hours in the waiting room for, and feel I know what its like on the other end to wait for news, then wait to see the patient, then hope a procedure goes right, etc. You are going through so much. Make sure you give your body and your mind patience. I will think of you and send postcards.

Praying for a successful surgery to finish off that darn lymphatic thing. What a wonderful Birthday Present that would be.

OMG Happy Birthday too!
ReplyDeleteHey Beth! My goodness you've been through some stuff! I've been trying to keep up with it all. Well, it sucks that you have to spend your birthday in the hospital having more surgery and procedures and all of that. But I am sending you my most encouraging thoughts and cyber hugs (the best kind because no matter what they don't hurt). When I find a good post card I'll send it out your way!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the great work CG! I have been thinking and praying for you all day. I think the best birthday present would be a successful surgery! Happy 30th. Here's to a new life with new lungs!
ReplyDeletePS I had my transplant two days before you on the 25th.
Much love,
Sandy
