It works like this: I enrolled at this site called statcounter.com
ReplyDeleteYou go through a brief process to prove your blog is your blog, and then it starts to track the visitors to your blog, how they got there (like through google, through someone else's blog, etc.) and how long they spend on the site. It also tracks IP Addresses... creepy... and locations. So though I don't know the names of my viewers, I do know where they are.
And it's free!
It also counts the number of different kinds of users. New readers, returning readers, etc. This is how I knew that I had my 500th unique reader.
